How Can Nonallergic Rhinitis With Cough And Odor Be Treated?

hai my 2 year old daughter has been suffering from constant cold and cough with blocked nose at night for allmost 7 months.i have been given refferal to an ent specilaist but for the past one week very bad smell is coming from her nose.what could be the reason please let me know.

Hello,

She may be suffering from pharyngitis with pharyngo tonsilitis or sinusitis may gives like kind of smell. Bronchitis or allergies may also present like this. She may need antibiotics like amoxicillin(twice a day for five days) with Azithromycin(once a day for five days) according to her body weight. Give hot water only. Use flucold syrup in case of cough. If no improvement please consult with your ENT specialist / Pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
