Hi sir/mam my niece is 4 years old and she suffering nephrotic syndrome from last 3 months doctor start omnacortile forte 15mg its working bt some time swelling on her eyes not get reduce please suggest me that is omnacortile forte is good for her treatment?

Hello,

Yes, steroids are the first line treatment in nephrotic syndrome. If symptoms not reduced you have to increase the dose until remission then slowly taper the dose or maintain the dose at best tolerable level.

Still, immunosuppressants may also be used depending upon the resistance of the disease.

Please consult your paediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
