How Can Nasal Congestion And Sore Throat Be Treated?

I came down with a really bad cold on Tuesday of last week, and at first I began taking pills that had Acetaminophen for aches, medication for decongestant and an expectorant. I am now taking an expectorant, pain medication and decongestant. My cough has become more violent and my throat remains sore and I have not been able to rid myself of the nasal congestion. Should I take Robitussin?

Hi,

As per your query about nasal congestion, coughing and sore throat inspire of taking medication like pain killers and nasal decongestant and expectorant may be due to wrong choice of cough syrup and whether you are having a productive or a non productive cough.

I suggest you to consult a physician for proper examination of chest and throat as there may be a need to take antibiotics and a right choice of cough syrup for getting relief.

I hope this information helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jyoti Pandey
