How Can Nasal Congestion And Cough During Pregnancy Be Treated?

Hello.Sir, I m 27 years old now and my first pregnancy is 20 weeks .I m suffering from nasal congestion,mild cold, and cough.So my gynecologist prescribed cefixime 200mg BD for 5 days. I worried about that is it safe for my baby and something won t be affect on it or not? In recent three weeks ago,I suffered from flu.and so took the medicine of antibiotics for 3 days. So, taking antibiotics frequency have many times in one month. Then.,I m worried about my baby .

Hi! The fear and worry of pregnancy and to top it antibiotics trying to harm your little.one!

Fear not! Cefixime is a category B pregnancy drug that has shown absolutely no harm.to the foetus i.e. the baby in your womb. You can safely take that drug and get rid of your infection and carry.on with your normal pregnancy.
