How Can Misophonia Be Treated?

10 years ago my grandson screamed in my wife s ear . which caused her to be sensitive to loud noises . Places we avoid loud resturants , bands , live football games . We did many test and it was called severe recruitment but never got much better . We have special ear pieces made to keep noise out when we go anywhere noisy ; however after a few hours these are not comfortable and when she takes them out she has to be in a quiet location . Is there anything new for this ???
