How Can Lymphedema Be Prevented?

I had left breast mastectomy with removal of 25 lymph nodes three and a half years ago. Have not flown since but will soon. Have no lymphedema. Did not have radiation or chemo afterwards and arm has been fine. I exercise it. Do I have to be concerned about developing lymphedema? Do I need a compression sleeve, hope not. If it matters, am a healthy and active 76 year old female.
