I have stenosis of lumbar region along with degeneration of discs, some bulging of disc between L2-L3 and 3-4, along with arthritis on right side of spine. Have had 3 steroidal injections L2-L3, 3 nerve blocks from l2-L5 and rhizotomy on left and right sides. pain down left leg, very tight muscles in upper leg with sharp pain at times in front of both legs. ROM is limited, am seeing PT at this time. Neurosurgeon wants to fuse L2, L3. a Would like to know if stem cell therapy is a possiblility, pros and cons, etc. Plus if viable treatment, risks, and where it is being done. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Honestly speaking, there is no role of stem cell therapy in lumbar canal stenosis. So don't opt for it. You should definitely undergo surgery. You have mechanical obstruction and should be dealt with surgical correction only. So without wasting much time, better to get done surgical fusion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
