How Can Kidney Stones Be Removed?

Hi, I have some concerns about the size of my kidney stones. I had an ultra sound done yesterday and have the results but I don t understand the medical terminology. It states I have kidney stones and cysts on both kidneys. I was prescribed flowmax, and I was wondering if the stones were too big to take the prescription.

Hello,

Understand that the condition that you are suffering is Polycystic kidney with slight urolithiasis. This is presented by cysts and stones in kidneys that appeared on the USG finding.

If the kidney stones are too small (3 to 5 mm) then it can be removed by using flush therapy. If it is large in size then they have to be removed by the process of crushing by laser therapy.

For prevention of relapse, I suggest taking the medicines of Ayurveda Discipline after the removal of stone with the following medicines with a due discussion with your Ayurvedic physician.

1. Varunadi Kashaya 3teaspoon with 3 teaspoons of water three times a day before food.
2. Chandraprabha Vati 1 tablet three times a day before food.
3. Bhangshil tablets 1 tablet three times a day After food.

I also suggest you check for triglycerides and cholesterol levels too before and after three months.

My suggestion on diet for the next three months

1. Avoid high protein diet like pulses, High oily diet.
2. Increase intake of liquids like sugarcane juice, barley water, etc.
3. Take high fibre diet, fruits, vegetables of Cucurbitaceae like Ash gourd, Ridged gourd, Snake gourd, etc.

Start with these dietary changes for the next three months and get back to me in three months.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
