General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Usually I would start an antibiotic like norfloxacin empirically if I get more puss cells in urine routine examination which can be done in half an hour time. After that you can go for urine culture and sensitivity which will take more than a day. If the result shows the given antibiotic is not sensitive then change to another antibiotic can be done. You can also take sodium hydrogen citrate syrup in water to decrease the burning sensation.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
