How Can Itchy Rashes On The Stomach, Breasts, Back And Neck Be Treated?

I suspect that the itchy rash that is occurring on my stomach, bellly, breasts, back and neck, is being caused by nitrofurantoin/ 100 mg once a day. I started taking this drug on 03/20/2017. The itchy rash started this morning and has been getting worse. What if anything can I do for relief until I can see my doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
If itchy rashes occur after nitrofurantoine it is probably a skin allergy.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Olive Oil. Extra-virgin olive oil works as a great skin moisturizer, facilitates healing and promotes skin renewal as it is rich in vitamin E and antioxidants.
Baking Soda. Baking soda helps dry out skin -rashes.
-Aloe Vera.
-Cold Compress.
-Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water
-use calamine lotion
-use hydrocortisone cream
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
