General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

IBS can be very disturbing and bothersome to the patients so I understand your struggle with it. It is recommended that you take a diet full of soluble fiber and also soluble fiber as supplement in a pharmacy and use daily.
Probiotics are also recommended to help stabilize the normal bacterial flora.
Other medications that can be used are Lubiprostone and Linaclotide (this last one is found to be more effective).

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
