Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hey. i have irregular menses due to implanon. lately i have had periods for two weeks. i decided to take primolut n to stop it. two days later no periods again. after how long should i expect them back? secondly will taking primolun n be a permanent solution to this?
I would like to tell you that after the insertion of Implanon it takes at least two to three months for the body to adapt to the high levels of hormones. You will get irregular bleeding for a few months. If the bleeding is very heavy or prolonged, you should talk to your gynecologist about it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nazma.amman
