How Can Irregular Periods Be Treated?

I am 39 years old. I have irregular periods last 2 years back i got miscarriage. I have PCOD, doctor advised me to take metformin and ovar l tablet. From 2 years i am taking ovar l tablet to get my period regular. from last 2 months i stopped take ovarl. this month i suppose to get my period on 5th August, bit still i did get my period.

There are several standard treatments.
Metformin,
exercise and weight loss
birth control pills
resetting the periods with hormonally blocking everything.
