Hello,

In my opinion, the cervical mucus plug is not a very significant test. If you are planning to conceive. First, try naturally and if still you dont conceive. Go for ovulation induction and then IUI with 2-3 planned cycles. Still not successful, then go for IVF but before all that, you will have to get basic investigations done to rule out there are no pathological changes which are causing infertility.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mandavi Rai
