I have been told I have high cholesterol. I am having a lipid tesst and panel done in 3 weeks. I am 48 yrs old, and he stated I may be put on Lipitor. In the meantime, I have been really watching what I eat and excercise daily. I was told to eat more fish, however, I am allergic to Salmon. Am I able to eat Haddock?

Hi and welcome to HCM!

Thanks for your question.

Continue taking lipitor. Lifestyle modification is necessary and follow appropiate and balanced diet, maintain optimal body weight, quit alcohol and get tested for diabetes and thyroid dysfunction; which can elevate your cholesterol levels.
