How Can High Blood Pressure Be Treated?

Hi, I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. doctor suggested i drink at least 2 litres of water a day to reduce it before he can start prescribing medication. problem is it seems all the water goes down the drain because i urinate every 30 minutes, it that normal?

Managemen of hypertension is detailed below
DASH (dietary approaches to stop hypertension): include more fruits, vegetables and lean protein like chicken/turkey breast. Decease sodium content in diet. Avoid high fat and fried food. Avoid processed sugars in your diet.
Exercise regularly like brisk walking for 30 minutes daily

Follow these measures and re-check blood pressure in 3 months. If after 3 months the blood pressure is persistently high (140/90), then antihypertensives should be started.
