How Can Headache, Eyebrows Pain And Neck Strain Be Treated?
i have had a head ache for the last 24 hours. The pain is throbbing, slightly. my eyebrows hurt to the touch badly. and strain down my neck as if i slept on it wrong, also very tender to the touch. i have taken 4 separate doses of Excedrin at 500mg per. and it only helped with the initial throbbing but now it has sort been at a stand still and i can not get it to go away.
This sounds very much like migraine. Migraine pain is not only in the head but 75% of migraines can have neck pain. The hurting of the eyebrows to touch is called allodynia and it means that the migraine has gone on long enough to be difficult to treat with pills. I recommend sleep and a cold wash cloth on the forehead. If things worsen, you need to see your doctor. If this is your first headache like this, go to the emergency room. After this headache subsides, see a neurologist, preferably a headache specialist for treatment. Medicines that are typically used for this are called triptans and work very well.
