How Can Gallstones Be Treated?

Hi, I am 20 years old. I have severe gallstones and heavy sludge in my gall bladder which is very very painful sometimes, due to which I am getting heavy injections and medicines, the injections specification is such as : 1. To stop me from vomiting 2. To get me to sleep 3. Painkillers I always get three-four injections at a time depending upon the intensity of the pain. Recently I noticed I ve missed my period, though my cycle is usually irregular, due to which I got scared and took a pregnancy test and it came out with one dark line and one fade line, then I took another one which was distinctive two lines. Then I went for an ultrasound as suggested by my gynaec, and nothing came in the ultrasound. I am very confused on what to do next.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Since you are diagnosed as having gall stones, and you are markedly symptomatic, the best and permanent management is to undergo a laparoscopic removal of the gall bladder. Taking medication for pain relief, sleeping pills and others are really not the correct method of management of markedly symptomatic gall stones ailment. Please do not be confused. Since you are not diagnosed positively as being pregnant, the surgery can be done without any fear of abortion. Even in such early pregnancy, since you are so much in discomfort, the GB removal can be done without effecting the pregnancy and the fetus.
