Hello,

In my opinion, you should get some tests done to evaluate your immune system. A total WBC count, differential count and blood sugars could be the baseline.

Additionally, your dermatologist could do a scraping of the fungal infection to determine what anti-fungal the infection is sensitive to.

Since you have been having this problem for a while now, you could consider starting systemic anti-fungal, that is oral medications. Keep the region dry and clean.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan
