How Can Fordyce Spots On The Upper Lip Be Treated?

I have fordyce spots on my upper lip that I haven t noticed before, they re small clusters that are more visible when I stretch my lip. Is there a way to make them less visible or go away completely? Is there a way to prevent them from getting worse? If so, how?

Hello,

Fordyce's spots are nothing but hyperplasia of the sebaceous glands or oil glands that are present in abundance on the lips. So they are normal anatomical structures and do not cause any problem. They do not disappear on its own, and if not apparently visible they can be left as it is. But in case if they are visible and you need to get them removed for the cosmetic reason you should get laser treatment done for their removal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
