How Can Excessive Weight Gain After A Hysterectomy Be Reduced?
Hi Thanks for using HealthcareMagic Weight gain can occur with some medications. It can occur in different ways- (1)increasing appetite- this can be counteracted by using foods not likely to cause weight gain (2)decreasing energy and activity level- this would have to be assessed by setting aside time for activity (3)decreasing metabolism- by looking at diet and activity, may be able to help with this (4)decreasing satiety/fullness If HRT is definitely not an option then st johns wort or a similar product can be considered. I hope this helps Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
