How Can Elevated Liver Enzymes Be Treated?

My cholesterol level is above the average since 2004. Initially it was around 300 and with medicines it has come down to normal level. Within last 12 month I have not used medicines and kept on doing exercises and managed to reduce the weight by 9 kg. Now cholesterol also reduced to 229 ( without medicine). Initially I had very high level liver enzymes (HGPt, GGOT, GGT) and it also has come down to normal range. Am I required to use medicine for cholesterol or is it ok to proceed with exercises without medicines? Rosuvas 5mg i used before.

Thanks for Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Best treatment for hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) is strict diet, exercise.
If you achieve normal cholesterol levels with diet and exercise, no need to go for Statins (lipid lowering drugs).
So continue, exercise, weight reduction and dieting. Get done repeat cholesterol level after 1 month.
If it is normal then no need for rosuvastatin.
But it is high (more than 200)then start rosuvastatin 5 mg at night.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
