General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms you are describing is suggestive of a vaginal yeast infection (candidiasis). Taking antibiotics predispose to yeast infection. You can apply Monistat vaginal cream for seven to ten days. If the topical treatment is not helping, then a one-time oral dose of Fluconazole is required to clear up the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal
