How Can Digestive Problems, Soft Stools And Diarrhea Be Treated?

It s been over six months since I too Azithromycin - my digestive system did not get bac to normal, although I try not to eat milk products; stool is very rarely formed, mostly soft, or diarrhea; BM s usually 2,3 x a day. Do I need to see gastroenterologist? Internist said nothing unusual was found in stool sample.

Azithromycin is known for the adverse effects that causes in the upper digestive tract and being in the same family with eritromycin that is even used as a prochinetic agent, but for sixth months lasting is probably a change in the normal intestinal flora that has caused your problems. So some probiotics would be worthy trying, I'd suggest, of course excluding important changes in your weight and general heath status.
