Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If the child is doing better for at least 3-4 days and he has had the treatment for at least one week than it might be safe to stop the medication. If the child has not at least 3-4 days of improvement than you will need to continue it till he has 3-4 days without diarrhea (once a day motion).

If you are breastfeeding you should continue to breastfeed the child , breast milk is the best food at this time and provides protections as well.

Make sure there is good hygiene of food, and containers used so the infection does not spread to others in the family.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
