How Can Developmental Delay In A Preemie Be Treated?
I am having a 2 year old daughter. born prematurely at 7month and was admitted to ICU and highcare unit for about two weeks after birth. She hasn't walk nor speak. Was diagnosed as having delayed milestone. I am not sure what kind of sickness is, if she will ever walk or speak. Now though she trying to walk and she making sounds like she trying to talk. She is always having siliva going out of her mouth, at sometime she laughs and becoming excited from nowhere. I once taken her for CT Scan and it was said that the other part of the brain has something like growth but its nothing serious and was no evidence of imparedness. I need help. I realy need to assist my baby. This is my first born and i feel guilty like I am the cause. When i was pregnant i had oligrohydrominus my womb did not have water hence was born prematurily with cissor. Please advise
thank you for consultation, First of there should not be blame game on any partner.Premature baby born is multifactorial. It can happen to any one. premature are slow initially but they grow well later on. If the CT scan is normal then your baby needs further assessment for general growth pattern, vision check by the pediatrician Please check his hearing test as well, although less like any problem. Do not worry your child will be alright with time.
