How Can Cough Be Treated During Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, I m 22 weeks pregnant and for last 3 days I am suffering from cough and sore throat. Flegm is greenish yellow. My chest physician prescribed zinnat 250 twice daily, deriphyllin 150 at night and Ascoril 5ml three times a day. Pls advice if these medicines are safe to use as a pregnant person. God bless you! Hi, I think these are safe to take in pregnancy. But I think you can take some antihistaminics and antibiotics like azithromycin for sore throat. Slowly do warm saline gargle atleast 3 times per day. I think you can avoid using deriphylline now. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
