Thank you, I m helping a friend post surgery and she is easily constipsted due to colon damage from previous radiation threatments, pain meds and antibiotics. Has seen an MD this morning getting enema and suppositories. Would warm heating pad or warm compress on lower stomach help? At least to relax muscles and bowel from pain increase too. Any additional suggestions are appreciated. The recent surgery was on her legs, not related to constipation.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Heating pads may relieve pain, you can easily give this a try. Radiation damage to the large bowels may be helped using steroid or short-chain fatty acid enemas.
Hope I have answered your query.
