Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
We are blessed with a daughter 45 days old. She was observed with adoubt of minor club feet type. After 4 days of her birth one ortho doctor put a cast/ plaster on her legs for 15 days and removed it after 15 days. He advised that it is ok now & no need to repeat it any more. My observation now is that she still often shows some inward bending or orientation. We want to consult you for the same . Kindly give your contact & appointment. Regards. YYYY@YYYY
If the feet of the little girl are able to be put in normal position and club position completely corrected manually than very likely this is not a true club foot and there is nothing to worry. If club foot is not corrected manually then a real club foot is the case and it is due to bone problems in the foot and the child needs another visit with the orthopedic doctor. Sometimes these children with real club foot may need surgery and it is the orthopedic doctor that decides on the need for surgery and when is the best time to have it done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
