General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The reason why you could be having clogged ears is due to congestion in the middle ear as a result of infection.

You have been treated with a course of antibiotics. It would treat the infection.
However, for congestion to come down, you need to do the following:
• Take steam inhalation twice daily
• Do salt water gargling twice daily
• Take medication containing Bromhexine with Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Phenylephrine
• Avoid drinking cool drinks and having ice creams

Gradually, your symptoms should get better and be back to normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S
