How Can Chronic Plantar Fasciitis Be Treated?

I have 5 herniated thoracic discs, 2 of which are compressing the thoracic cord. I also have 5 bulging discs in my lumbar spine, 2 impinging nerve roots, dessication from T3-T10, a1.6 cm tarlov cyst and schmorls nodes at several thoracic levels, and a 1.7cm hemangioma. Lately, I have been having burning upper back pain. I m on Lyrica and it s not helping at all. It s worst while sitting for more than 1/2 HR. I work 6 days a week, go to the chiropractor, and do back exercises daily. I also have chronic plantar fasciitis so have a hard time with too much activity on my feet. Any advice to ease this pain?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

So far as symptoms narrated here, the plantar fasciitis can be managed with different modalities as
- better analgesic tablets as Tramadol Hydrochloride or others
- heating pad application
- assisted physiotherapy
- laser therapy and oxygen chamber therapy as recent modalities
- nerve blocks with interventional pain management specialist.

I would like to assist further at anytime.

Regards.
