How Can Chronic Diarrhea And IBS Be Treated?
I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH DIARHEA. I HAVE SEVERE IBS & I HAVE TO ALWAYS TAKE ANTIBIOTIC FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE I M 77 BECAUSE OF AN INFECTION I GOT ON MY KNEE WHICH CAUSED ME TO HAVE 7 SURGERIES ON MY LEFT KNEE I NEED HELP WITH THE DIARHEA. [

Hello,
I think you should first do a stool culture because the problem may be an infection rather than IBS. Taking count that you used lots of antibiotics you may be suffering from Clostridium difficile infection.
It can be treated with metronidazole.
If it is not true you can take Imodium to stop diarrhea and Enterogermina to help reestablish the intestinal flora.
