i have a patient with hyperaeration and few infiltatrates which had been there last year. sputum exam then was negative. To me it was negative bec she didn t have cough then. i m still planning to treat her with Rif and Inh for two wants. she is 54 y o;d. The hyperaeration, shall i refer her for PFT
Cough need not be the presenting complaint in all respiratory cases. You can better refer the patient for PFT, as it helps in solving the query to some extent since you are planning to put the patient on such drugs
