How Can Chronic Cough Along With Nose Congestion Be Treated?

i tested positive for flu 1/4/2018. dispensed tamiflu, but i was on the cusp of it working. i went to ed 1/7/2018 received sodium chloride fluids, & antinflamatory, 2 chest xrays that were clear.. later that day i started coughing so hard i lost my voice (still gone) between meds, humidifiers name it i am still swollen & nasal congestion. ears as well. i just want this congestion, & cough gone! any advise?

Hello welcome to the health care magic

Your chest x ray is clear.

Hence it seems to be acute Laryngitis like case as voice is affected.

You need to prescribe short term steroid betamethasone in low dose 0.5 mg for five days.
It is strong antinflamatory drug.

Steam Inhalation done three times a day.

Drink more water.

Avoid excess spicy foods.

Indirect laryngoscopy can be done to visualize larynx.

If needed you can Consult otorhinolaryngologist for examination
