Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Chin on chest deformity is a complex and a challenging condition both for the patient and the treating surgeon. Its not only about the surgery being successful but it is also about how efficiently the patient's system will respond to the surgery in the post operative period. If there are no complications or pathology building and vitals are stable, the recovery may be good though it will take time. The patient should be monitored continuously in this time period. If the patient responds well in the post operative phase & there are no complications the surgery does provide good (full)mobility and patient will show improved ability to carry on the daily activities of life.
Hope I have answered your query.
