I observed that my blood pressure is lower than my normal, last 3 days it 117/60. The other day i felt some chest pain and i was advised to take trimetazidine and isosorbide mononitrate. Is it recommended to take isosorbide mononitrate even my blood pressure is 117/60? Thank you.

Hi,

Yes can be taken. It should be avoided if systolic blood pressure is less than 100 but in your case it is more than 100.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Diwashish Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
