How Can Burning Sensation In The Mouth Be Treated?

My boyfriend somehow got anyifreeze in his mouth accidentally while doin someyhin to the car. He imexiately started throein up. He says his mouth is burned and the back of hjs throat. He says he is fine. Should i make him go to the hospital? What can i recommend to help him with this?

It looks like there are chemical burns in his mouth and throat caused by the chemical present in anti- freeze..

Burning sensation is due to inflammation..

Yes, you should consult an Emergency room or an Oral Physician and get him examined to check for the severity of the burns..

For now if there is burning he can gargle with Lidocaine/Xylocaine containing Mouthwash.
He can also be advised anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..
Steroid mouth rinses and lozenges can also help in healing faster..
