How Can Bronchitis And Chronic Cough Be Treated?

I have already gone through the medications for taking care of bronchitis. However, I still have a bad cough. It doesn t seem to have a reason for when it starts, but I can almost not stop once it does. It also irritates my throat when I am coughing to the point where it makes it swell and makes it difficult to breath for about a minute or so. Is this common after being treated for bronchitis?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think the symptoms are indeed suggestive of bronchitis. I would suggest you upload the reports of :

1. X-ray chest (PA view).
2. PFT.
3. you prescription.

I may thereafter be able to suggest suitable modifications in the prescription that might help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
