How Can Bronchitis Along With Wheezing And Fatigue Be Treated?

I have bronchitis - from a severe cold/flu. I have been wheezing, coughing and quite fatigued for two weeks now - prior to that - I had a severe cold that lasted about 7 to 10 days. I was given a Z pack, and Symbicort for this latest illness - but my progress has been slow. I am 68 years old. Relatively healthy. High Blood pressure. I live in Michigan - and I drive a School Bus for special needs children... which is where I picked up this bug as three of the children are chronically ill. How can I rid myself of this Bronchitis?

Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
You need antibiotic ( to be decided after culture &sensitivity test of sputum.
.along with anti allergic & bronchodilater medicines in oral,injectable or nasal spray / nebulizer.. Consultation of a chest physicianwould be ideal for your history.
Till then you can have tablet derriphyllin over the counter along with your other medicines.
Eat light &nouritious food,drink warm water ,avoid exposure to cold/fried ,Spicy or sour things &known allergens
