How Can Brittle Bones Be Treated?

I have two friends my age 72 who both say that their thinnings and brittle bones are a result of taking Fosomax. My oncologist has me on it because my last scan showed a low normal reading and I am taking an anticancer medication that also thins bones. Your opinion please.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Thin bones can be caused by such meds plus age has part to play too but replacing calcium and vitamin D by using supplements can always help big time.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
