How Can Bowel Incontinence Be Treated?

I am having bowel incontinence. Sometimes 5 to 10 times per day. Dr thought it was my metformin and took me off it. Did not replace it with anything else. Bowels went back to normal for about 3 weeks now it is back. I have nausea, cramping and chronic coughing with this incontinence. I am not losing any weight. I am 60 years old. Stool are slimy,

A course of Pre and pro biotics will help. Also do a stool examination plus culture to know whether there is any infection/worm infestation--regards
