How Can Blood Pressure Levels Be Kept Under Control?

I m a 52 yr. old female Weight: 196.4 Ht 5ft. 3in. I take diovan 80 MG tab once a day for Blood pressure. Vyvanse 70 MG once a day for ADD Escitalopram 20 Mg once a day for depression. I m having a hard time keeping my blood pressure down and by 5 pm it usually starts to go up. I just took it and it is 143/119 and my heart rate is 130. All I was doing is taking screws out of a cabinet and my head started to hurt so bad that I was getting a migraine and had to quit. I only have 8 screws to remove and had only done 4 and had no headache when I started. This seems to be the normal for me in the last two weeks that I can t do anything that requires straining in any way that I don t get a headache and have to go lay down.

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell you that Vyvanse and Escitalopram causes increases serotonin level in the body if taken together and causes symptoms like headache, increases heart rate and blood pressure. increased serotonin level can be life threatening and needs to be managed on time.

Kindly consult with your Psychatrist and Physican to put you on another ADHD agents and further management.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Bansal
