How Can Auditory Hallucinations Be Treated?

my 54 year old brother has recently started hearing voices that are threatening his well being. He has also began laughing out loud for no reason and displaying extreme paranoia. I have tried to get him to seek help but he refuses. He is also responding verbally to the voices. What can I do to seek help for him?
