How Can Appetite Loss In An Infant Be Treated?

Hello dr, My daughter is 10months old. She is on complete top feed i.e on milk and regular food, but she has eating issues...she never finishes her portion offered and demands for milk. At times just 3-4 spoons of food is enough for her.Have tried to offer her all variations in her meal soups,rice,sujietc. My dr. Suggested cyp-l so i started the dose but as soon as it was stopped the scence was same as before.As i read above its better to discontinue cyp l after a short course .how can we figure out the exact is the issue?

Hi,

It is a habit disorder. Consult a pediatrician for a complete checkup of the child to find out the cause. Give her semisolid food. If she continue cyp1 there is no harm as it is a children appetizer.

After check up if she has no other issues then not to worry. You can give massed fruit, boiled potatoes. A children dietician should also be consulted. I think she has not developed the taste of food other than milk but don't stop giving semi-solid food. Some children take time to develop test. So not to worry.
