How Can An Urinary Tract Infection Be Treated?

Just had a bladder test this past Friday for a bladder lift coming up. I feel a UTI coming on. I have on hand Nitrofuran 100 mg & Bactrim Ds800-160. Which one would be better? Thanks Edith I m not going to pay. You should say this up front. I will ask my son-in-law who is a doctor.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You can go for a urine culture study and start antibiotics according to the culture report only.

Nothing much to worry and you will improve with antibiotics.

As of now drink plenty of water. You can drink cranberry juice as it is a good urinary antiseptic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
