I have developed a rash that started in the summer. It was treated with a steroid cream prescribed by a dermatologist. I know have a rash on my lower back that is very itchy and seems to not respond to whatever I use. It is spreading sporatically in different areas.

Hello,

If the rash is spreading then it can become an abscess and can lead to more problems. Kindly get it examined and regular dressings are necessary along with oral antibiotics full course.

If I were a treating physician then I would have prescribed you augmentin thrice daily to counteract the infection. if any pain then I would have prescribed you some painkillers like tramadol, diclofenac, etcetera.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
