How Can An Injured Toe Be Treated?

I stubbed my toe 5 days ago. I cut away 90% of the toe nail. I am on antibiotics for 5 days. I am aplying betadine to the toe. Where my toenail was is moist witha a clear fluid. The fliud is not excessive. What does this clear moisture fluid indicate?

Clear or serous fluids is not unusual after trauma. IF the discharge was yellow or otherwise discolored, then this may indicate infection.
Infection would be indicated by increasing warmth to the area as well as increasing swelling, increasing tenderness, increasing redness.

The continued use of the anti septic, bethadine as well as the use of the antibiotics should help with healing but if you are not sure, then it should be reviewed.
