How Can An Ingrown Hair Cyst On The Vagina Be Treated?

Hi there it looks as if I have an ingrown hair on the inside of my vaginal lips I think I poked and prodded at it before it was ready (a head to pop on it) and now it looks as if there is the first layer of skin off of it and just clear liquid and a bit of blood coming out.. It is swollen and hurts to walk is there anything I can do about it? Or just wait it out for it to go away on its own? Thank you!!!

Hi,

By your history and description, the possibility of Bartholin's cyst is more likely. It is mucus cyst common in the vaginal area.

So better to consult a gynecologist and get done a clinical examination of the cyst. You may need a painkiller, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic drugs for symptomatic relief.

Avoid moisture and perspiration in private parts. Keep proper hygiene of private parts. Wear only cotton undergarments. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
