How Can An Infected Wound On The Toe Be Treated?

There is awound on my toe finger pus came out when I wiped it hard now this pus has spread on my leg too . My leg has become too stiff its reddish colour and at times blackish . I met a doctor and he did dressing on my leg and antibiotics were also given .is it anything serious

Thanks for posting on HCM
That is a toe infection that should be handled with care before it becomes extensive.Leg becoming reddish and blackish may be a sign of cellulitis/other soft tissue infection or poor vascularization.These are all possible with leg infections if not well and quickly managed.It is good you are already on antibiotics.Regular drainage of pus and dressing will be very important.You may add pain/antiinflammatory to your antibiotics like ibuprofen.
