How Can An Infected And Swollen Boil Be Treated?

Hi i had a boil that collected pus and become swollen around it and it was hard and red but the boil burst and all the pus came out, the swelling has gone and so has the redness but it has left sort of a tiny hole with some stringy yellow substance inside and it doesn t come out. What could it be and how can i get rid of it?

Please go to a doctor and get the pus in the boil drained out completely under aseptic conditions and get the wound dressed.
